Thank you to everyone who joined us for our trial dance at the Adelmann Building and took the time to share your thoughtful feedback. After reviewing the community survey and holding a couple of board meetings, we have arrived at our decision.
While there was so much to love about the space—the beautiful hardwood floors, warm ambiance, and the ease of having a dedicated event venue—we've decided not to move our weekly Ecstatic Dance there.
Ultimately, the concerns outweighed the benefits. Accessibility was a significant factor, along with a few other considerations that come with a downtown location. Additionally, the split ballroom layout wasn't the spacious, unified environment we envision for our growing community.
One of the greatest gifts of this experience is the clarity it brought us. It helped us better define what we're truly looking for in a long-term home: a space that is accessible, welcoming, family-friendly, aligned with our values, and large enough to grow alongside this community. While the Adelmann Building wasn't the right fit, we're grateful for the opportunity to explore it and for all of the thoughtful feedback that helped guide this decision.
For now, we'll continue dancing at Anser Charter School while we intentionally focus our search for the space that truly feels like home.
