Mission Statement
Boise Ecstatic Dance, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting community well-being, connection, and self-expression through movement arts. Our primary focus is providing accessible, weekly ecstatic dance gatherings in a safe, substance-free environment that welcomes people across ages, abilities, bodies, cultures, and life experiences, where individuals can explore freeform dance. We are committed to fostering personal growth, strengthening community bonds, and advancing holistic wellness through the transformative power of movement. In addition to weekly dances, we aspire to offer educational workshops and public events that support our mission of building a resilient, and connective community — always with dance at the core of our programs.
The Community
The Boise Ecstatic Dance community is vast - with hundreds of participants, many of whom come nearly every week. The community has taken on much of the responsibility for dance setup and takedown, greeting dancers as they arrive, beautifying the space and most importantly, bringing their beautiful spirits and dancing like no one is watching. The contributions from our community, both financially and energetically, make our dance possible.
